How to Edit a PDF's Title, Author, Keywords Online — Free
Rewrite PDF metadata — title, author, subject, keywords. Free, no sign-up, no watermark.
Generated PDFs come with junk metadata — 'Microsoft Word - Untitled1.docx' as title, the IT account as author, blank keywords. Fixing this is the difference between a search-friendly publication and a forgotten file on a shared drive.
When you actually need Edit Metadata
Whitepapers that need searchable titles, internal documentation that needs author attribution, archival files that need keyword tags, publications that need creator credit before going to a CMS.

Common problems and how to avoid them
Edit metadata didn't update the title in my reader
Most readers cache. Close and reopen the file. Some readers show file system name instead of metadata title — that's expected behavior, not a bug.
Keywords are comma-separated but tool wants array
Type comma-separated; we split on commas server-side. Whitespace around commas is trimmed.
Wanted to remove metadata, not change it
Leave the field blank in the form — submit removes the value rather than keeping the original.
A short word on privacy
Three things to know. One: files go over TLS 1.3. Two: files are encrypted at rest while we process them, then deleted automatically within one hour. Three: we don't look at your files or train on them.
