Protect PDF FAQ
- What encryption does it use?
- AES-128 (the same algorithm used by Adobe Acrobat's default password mode). Strong enough for everyday business documents and HR paperwork.
- Can I remove the password later?
- Yes — use our Unlock PDF tool with the same password. We don't crack passwords (the math doesn't allow it), but if you know it, removing it is one click.
- Are my files private?
- Files and the password you type are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest, then auto-deleted within one hour. We never log passwords.
